For 30 years, I’ve been publishing and distributing kinetic images to promote my work: posters, leaflets, books, postcards… Always sent by mail, never reduced to a mere digital file! Let’s be honest: a good mailing is something you can touch, hang up, keep. Nothing beats the impact of a printed visual that lives in the real world. Down with PDFs, long live paper! This approach has allowed me to expand my network, reach clients all over the world, and collaborate internationally. Even today, I’m still convinced that a tangible medium leaves a much deeper mark than a quickly forgotten email. Print has unmatched power. I’ve sometimes included my own face in the visuals, so people could recognize me. Which led to a few Otto Portraits.
